POTY 2006-7

So the end of yet another season had arrived,one which it must be said was far more positive both on and off the park than the previous two,and the annual POTY was the only event left in our fitba calender.A sqaud of 8 headed down the A9 for the last event of the season and were joined at the table by Alan and Diane Robertson, honary HDB's for the night and parents of a certain young man who it was to prove would do no bad on the night!!!!

The event was held this year in the Hilton hotel and it has to be said the meal and portions were more generous than some previous denners attended, Mao managed no to slooter his gravy doon his shirt,mair than can be said for the waiter who tipped a fair helping doon Billy Senior's back,had it been on Billy JNR's shirt it might have helped tone it down a wee bit (see colour above!!)

Spirit raising speeches to rally the troops from the board and management and a qaulity turn from Dick Cambell (yahooryesir) were followed by the main presentations of the night,with Paul Dixon and our own choice, Scott Robertson taking the bulk of the plaudits. Scotty,much to the delight of Alan and Di, taking the overall Player of the Year award

Unknown to maself , young Boab was filming meh nervous attempt at public speaking for all to see and had it posted on You tube before i got hame.

Once again a superb night,organised and run brillianlty thanks to the sterling efforts of the DSA,who all deserve our gratitude for the many hours they devote to running events and supporting Dundee Football Club.Without the DSA and DEE4LIFE i have no doubt at all their would be no team to follow,never mind dinners and events like this to attend,well done to all concerned.
