SURPREZ FUR DANNY

As the February meeting of the HDB's was to be held in the far flung outpost of Forres, Jabba's thoughts drifted to our Moray based members ...."wonder if Danny will be able to make the meeting with his shifts, he's been affy busy lately,workin shifts etc,......hmmmmm,.....I'm sure its Danny's 50th soon, must check.....arghhhhhh.... its aready past ,whit will we do,I've never made a mistake this big in ah meh time as secretary for the HDB's....

And so Jabba swept into action making phone calls and "arranging" events to organise a Surprez to mark Danny's 50th(wi ah these oldies in the HDB's can we no organise bus passes for away gemmes?)George Knight of DEE4LIFE was called in and Jabba explained that Danny ...founder member....season ticket holder....dedicated Dee.......had reached this milestone and could we get something special set up

Nae prob when you ken the right folk and so it was arranged that Danny would be presented at the Forres meeting with a scroll inviting him to join the Directors for pre and post match swally's and a sate in the Directors box for the Livvie gemme on 5th Mar

Toastmeister Garry Hopkins did the neccesary's,and Cahirman Mao presented the scroll to a gobsmacked Danny who's only comment was "is this fur real?"

Jabba came in for some chatisement for his lapse in administrative duties,dont think he'll forget anything again in a hurry,and was to wear appropriate headgear for the night,kindly supplied by Hopkins the hatmaker

Hope Danny has a memorable day at Dens,much deserved for a well liked and respected HDB
