PHIL'S 40TH !!!!

 

The unlikely event of popular HDB Phil Harper reaching a significant birthday occured in Sept with HDB's travelling to his hometown in Cumbernauld where Phil and Karen had recently returned to live from their heilan sojuorn to present him with a signed DEE top from the club

The fact that Phil looks younger at 40 than most of us did at 30 is testament to his easy upbringing on the west coast and no having to dae hard paper and milk roonds up the Hackie and doon the Blackie like the rest oh us!!!!

The Masonic lodge where the doo was to take place was decked out with memorabilia and photo's from Phils glory days along with a mate sharing the momentous occasion.True to form and showing the type of guys they are, both declined gifts from wellwishers instead requesting donations be made to Yorkhill childrens hospital

This magnificant gesture however didn't prevent the HDB's gift of the signed Scott Robertson top, whom we had sponsored for the season being presented to Phil along with the away top going to his Dad, Adam ,another stalwart DEE and distant HDB who retains his affiliation to the highland branch along with Phil

All Highland Dark Blues wish both Phil and Adam the very best for the future and many more significant birthdays to come
